I owe well receiving

NAME: GIANNIS ANTONOPOULOS

AGE: 55

PLACE OF RESIDENCY: CENTRE OF ATHENS

BIRTHPLACE: KALYMNOS

ORIGIN: ATHENS AND KALYMNOS

ON THE NIGHT OF THE PERFORMANCE HE WILL WALK FROM HIS HOME TO THE SUBWAY STATION “AGIOS IOANNIS”, GET ON THE RED LINE TO AKROPOLIS AND WALK THE REST OF THE DISTANCE.

He learned to sail in a very young age and, whenever he can, he travels on his boat in the Aegean Sea: "The people of Kalymnos are considered to be Argonauts. Me and my wife visited that way (by sailing) 82 Greek islands. I think we have 7 or 8 left."

He also has a passion for travelling abroad and visited, among others, Tanzania, Russia and Mongolia (with the Trans-Siberian Express).
Two months before his trips, he starts learning the language of the country he intends to visit. "That’s how I learned Chinese and Turkish, for example. Furthermore I can speak English and a little bit of French". With his wife and daughter he made it on the cover of the Chinese Time magazine, because the last was teaching English to the local citizens of the city Guilin in southern China.

"I never danced, not even on my wedding. I always tried to avoid it, because I was ashamed of my body, of being clumsy and stiff on stage. But at the age of 47 I started learning, specially traditional dances. I'm not a perfect dancer, but at least I don’t make mistakes now".
He runs the Classic Marathon in the centre of Athens (10 kilometres) and owns a dental office in the centre of the city.

"My personal tragedy is that I don't (have the chance to) read ancient drama. In the Prometheus Bound text most of the characters seem to be irresponsible and indifferent. But I think I could identify with Prometheus: I share his willingness to offer. For example, if I know something, I will analyze it in order to help somebody learn something new. But my family says that I analyze ‘too much for too long'", he jokes.
