I PUSH THE THOUGHT WITH MY WILL AS FAR AS IT IS POSSIBLE TO GO

Name: Pål Troye
Age: 52
District: Vestre Aker
Nationality: Norwegian
I live together with my wife Rachel and my two sons Carl and Nicolai in a house.

I am a machine-engineer and I am the manager at “Franzefoss Gjenvinning”. I have always worked with waste management.

I belong to the innovative, the sustainable, the visionary, the impatient, the imaginative, the ones who are part of organisations and clubs, the ambitious, the ones able to speak, the ones who speak for others and the wild ones but I do not belong to the rigid ones.

I moved home to Oslo after living in Switzerland, and I’m here somewhat involuntarily. Oslo has got fantastic nature, I can see the fjords from Wyller skiing-slope. The obvious is not getting done here, the lack of knowledge as to where we should aim – about ‘best practice’. Our self image and the reality does not match – but it’s something good about that too.

I think Tomas Stockmann behaves unwisely, he does not read the signals, he keeps going, he puts too much trust into the fact that he is right (which he is!), and therefore he will not reach out with the truth. I think the quote “the strongest man is the one standing the most alone” has got a point.

I turned from loosing my temper over other peoples rigidity to accepting other people’s ways of reacting by giving away a box of chocolates.

To the performance I would use the tram from Vinderen to the theatre.
