I LOVE TO LIVE INTENSELY AND I HAVE LEARNED TO DEAL WITH THE DOWN SIDES OF LIFE

Name: Merete Borg
Age: 41
District: Østensjø
Nationality: Norwegian
I live with my husband Håkon, my daughter Maria and my son Henrik in a semi-detached house.

I am head of department at the educational section of department A in Oslo county-jail

I belong to the travellers, the passionate, the ones engaged in politics and the leaders but I do not belong to the apathetic, the jugdmental, the ones who knit, the ones obsessed by rules, the minimalists or the ones who adore functionalism as a style.

It is quite a coincidence that I live in Oslo.  I inherited some money and invested in a flat in Oslo, by advice from someone. When living in my hometown Larvik, I could never imagine that I would ever move to Oslo. But I was with this rock`n roll guy when studying in Trondheim, and he thought it was a good idea to move to the flat I had bought in Oslo. In Trondheim, I felt at home at once. In Oslo, however, it took a long time before I felt I belonged. I had the picture of Oslo as a bit excluding and a little bit rough. I remember people asking; "Do you really dare moving to Oslo?". However, I have ended up enjoying the city and taking advantage of all the possibilites it gives.

I read An Enemy of the People many years ago in high school, but there are other plays by Ibsen I feel a closer connection to; A Doll`s House, Peer Gynt and The Wild Duck. Regarding the quote "The strongest is the one standing most alone", I do think it is important to stand for what you believe in even though a lot of people may be against it. One has to be fearless.

I have turned from often thinking the worst to not worrying beforehand. Because life has taught me that most things will turn out for the best in the end.

To get to the performances, I will take the tube from Bogerud to the Nationaltheatre.
