I CARE IN A DEMOCRATIC WAY

NAME: GIORGOS NECHALIOTIS

AGE: 74

PLACE OF RESIDENCE: KALLITHEA

BIRTHPLACE: TRIKALA

ORIGIN: TRIKALA

ON THE NIGHT OF THE PERFORMANCE HE WILL TAKE THE BUS THAT'S GOING TO LEAVE FROM THE K.A.P.E. KALLITHEA (SENIORS DAY CARE CENTER) AND DRIVE THROUGH ELEFTHERIOS VENIZELOS AVENUE, LAGOUMTZI, FRANTZI, ZINNI, ZACHARITSA AND ERECHTEIOU STREETS TO REACH HERODEION THEATRE.

Giorgos Nechaliotis takes his pension from TSA (Racers Association Pension).  He has a daughter and a son.  In his free time he helps his wife in their household, goes to the Seniors day Care Center, and whenever he gets the chance he goes to his summerhouse in Anavyssos.

He came to Athens from Trikala in 1959, and until 1963 he worked as a clerk. Then he opened his own business selling dowry items.  “I am not disappointed with commerce; if I came back to work I would choose the same job, especially because of my communication skills with people.”  He would talk daily with clients, providers, and a lot of people.  In 1992 the shop closed and he became a taxi driver until he went into pension.  “I think that friendship is one of the most important things in life.”

He hasn’t read any ancient drama.  However, he feels close to Hephaestus, because he wants to protect Prometheus.  Friendship and family are a priority for him.
